Mount Dora evokes that quiet and comfortable “Southern” charm and hospitality
of a lakefront community nestled amongst the gentle hills and orange groves of Central Florida. At an elevation of 184
feet above sea level, Mount Dora is Florida’s equivalent of a mountain top town. Whether you are looking for a
respite from the pressures of life and seek solitude overlooking our beautiful vistas, or you desire active shopping and recreation
to compliment our many festivals and community events, you can find it all in Mount Dora. Mt. Dora at Nite There are no street closures, and musicians and artists are on private properties.
Many merchants stay open late and offer event specials. Unlike the former Mount Dora Cool, our event is funded
solely by sponsorship monies and is staffed by volunteers. Our advertising has expanded from posters and brochures to
newspaper and magazine ads as well as our new webpage on WhatToDoinMtDora.com, featuring links to our sponsors. The goal of this small group of people who wanted to continue a monthly event was
and still is to attract business to all of the downtown Mount Dora merchants and to showcase our city as
a cultural destination with fine dining, shopping, and art as well as the historic village that all of our daytime visitors
have always loved.
Here are just a few few of the fun filled events Mt Dora at Nite had
to offer in the month of May. Come see us next month to enjoy some of the great entertainment and the beautiful Historic Downtown
Mount Dora along with all of great little shops that participate in the Mt. Dora at Nite festival.
In the month of June Mt. Dora at Nite had some great entertainment including the very talented Gentleman
Jim Rast playing at The Frosty Mug, a great band called 2am that was rockin the patio at Emz on Fifth, and the beautiful sounds
of Dave Dequasie playing at The Gables. This months entertainment will be hard to match, so come check out what Mt. Dora at
Nite has to offer next month.

Mt Dora was beautiful and very festive on the night of Mt Dora Cool. There were many Christmas
trees and decorations to be seen. People were bundled up going on to all of the wonderful shops. The coffee shop was a great
place to be on this chilly evening. The musical entertainment had people dancing in the streets. We encourage you to get out
to Mt Dora Cool and see all the amazing things you will come across in this enchanting town. Come out and join them every
third Friday for this fantastic celebration. As always Cool Cat enjoyed the evening in Mt. Dora. You and your family come
out next time and enjoy it with us.
See you all next time.

Mt Dora Cool 50’s & 60’s Night 8-16-07
Mt Dora what a wonderful place to have a festival. You can definitely
tell that Mt Dora is an art town with all the face painting, art cars, and bikes. The Betty Boop Car, the Shuttle Van, the
Diva Van, the Bubble Truck, and Cycles done by Jack’s Cycle and Salvage are all evidence of pure talent. The
local theater kids sang and danced their rendition of Grease in the streets, and what a wonderful show. The Mt Dora Athletic
Boosters were selling raffle tickets for a jet ski, and The Knights of Columbus were doing the Mustang raffle. The Gold in
Art Jewelry was giving away a chance to win some jewelry.A good friend of ours Dangerous Dave was
doing a great job of entertaining as he always does. We have heard him locally quite a bit and he does a great show. We had
some great coffee at the Village Coffee Pot, and pizza from Pizzeria Corleone was to die for. Coconuts form Coco Bongos were
seen all through the strets. We saw some old friends and met some new ones.Heather
thank you for having us there we had a great time. We will be back soon.
